The Point of No Return

In which someone who knows what they're doing reads my stuff

I’m on the cusp of submitting the first chapter of my book to my editor.

This chapter will be the template for the book and inform how the rest of it will be laid out. As I mentioned last week, there will be some recurring subsections and visual flourishes, and this first chapter (which doesn’t necessarily need to be the first chapter of the book, just the first completed chapter that I submit) will serve as the prototype for the subsequent chapters.

I’m just about done with it, or at least just about done enough that I can submit it for review and editing. And I’m nervous as hell.
