I started following you when my son was born- 10 years ago! Your wonderful wife too. You guys are hilarious and I also live in Brooklyn, and as a new parent it felt so good to hear people tell it like it is and not feel so alone in not “loving every minute” of new parenthood. What’s kept me following is as the country continues to go to shit, you guys are still right there with me, continuing to help me feel not alone- my parenting is so affected by this, I worry constantly about my kid’s future in this country. Thank goodness for accounts like yours, or else freaking lose it.
This is so beautifully written. I am a parent of an adult child and this still affects me today. I worry about her every time she leaves to go somewhere. Will I see her again? Will she be safe? It never ends as a parent.
I used to be annoyed when my parents would wait up for me when I visited in my twenties and thirties. Then I had kids. Babies aren’t the only age that keeps you up all night - turns out it’s every age! 🙃🙃🙃
"Nobody parents in a vacuum, and if you’re not concerned about what’s going on and the ramifications it will have for your kids, you don’t need a humor page, you need a wake-up call. "
I have followed you for, I don't know, a long time. I've always enjoyed your snark. And, more recently, the more political things you've had to say. You are 💯 correct, no one parents in a vacuum. And even though my daughter is grown, I definitely worry about my niblings. This murder in Minnesota, the invasion of Venezuela, the continuing disappearing of brown and Black people by ICE, have kept me gutted. I cried watching the Lt. Governor of Minnesota on a podcast. We can't afford to turn away.
When I need a break and a laugh, I can always find a cat or dog video to help. You need to just keep doing what you do. Thank you for.....everything.
Thank you. I’ve really struggled to put into words all of the things I’ve been feeling recently…you nailed it.
thank you!
Beautifully written.

You are right on point, thank you for putting this out there.

Amen! Thank you.
You have just written how I’ve been feeling. Thank you for using your gift to help all of us express our outrage at what is happening.
Thank you for reading! And paying! 🙏
